Manchester United have been very active in the transfer market having signed four quality players. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly and finally Paul Pogba have all signed for the Premier League giants this season. Mourinho had always talked about making four quality additions and with him getting all his desired targets, the Portuguese manager is now looking to sell some players.

Bastian Schweinsteiger, Juan Mata, Daley Blind and Marcus Rojo have all been told by Mourinho to start looking for new clubs according to latest reports from Telegraph. While Schweinsteiger has been made to train away from the first squad, the other 3 players have all been involved in pre-season and even made appearances in the Community Shield against Leicester City.

The experienced German midfielder is sought after by many clubs across Europe, but the way he has been treated has not gone down well with many people as the World Cup winner was made to train away from the first squad.

Also, Jose Mourinho’s and Mata’s frosty relationship seemed to deteriorate further during the Community Shield game when the Spanish playmaker was bought off even though he himself had made a second half substitute appearance.

Mourinho himself admitted that Mata was angry and he went on to explain his harsh decision:

“I know I did something which is not nice to do which is replace Mata, but he's happy now. The rules allowed six changes, and I wanted to stop the game, to kill time. I have one more player [to bring on] and I have to pick the smallest one [to come off].”

With Leicester City chasing the game, Mourinho valued a potential trophy over an unhappy Mata, saying “He played very well, he gave me exactly what I needed. However I knew it would end with long balls, throw-ins, so I don't pick [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic or [Marouane] Fellaini for sure. Mata is the smallest one. He was very angry but they threw everything. We want to win and everybody is happy in the end.”

While Schweinsteiger’s future pretty much lies away from Manchester United, the likes of Mata, Blind and Rojo would have been looking to cement their place in the starting line-up. However, Mourinho is now set to sell the other 3 United players as well.

With the arrival of Pogba for a world-record fee of €105 million, United are looking to get rid of the deadwood and Mourinho is going to be ruthless with these four stars.
