Mario Balotelli (R) of Milan scores the equalising goal during the Serie A match between Cagliari Calcio and AC Milan at Stadio Sant’Elia on January 26, 2014 in Cagliari, Italy.

Mario Balotelli is under the spot-light again and this time because of his gesture towards opposition fans after scoring in his side’s 2-1 win against Cagliari on Sunday.

The gesture earned him his fifth yellow card this season meaning he will be missing Saturday’s Serie A match against Torino.

Mario Balotelli has been now asked to pay a fine of €10.000, while Milan’s lawyer Cantamessa is considering to appeal against it, seeing as the player was racially abused.

Balotelli has already served a three-match ban this season for insulting match officials and being sent off at the end of a match at home to Napoli.

“Balotelli will learn,” Italy coach Cesare Prandelli said on Monday. “He needs a lot of love.

“We need to get the best out of him. He is very tied to his emotions, he has these reactions but he is a very good person.”

“Seedorf has already said the right things. I am convinced that with Seedorf’s help we can bring out the best in Mario.”
