Martin Demichelis interested in MLS move

Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis is rumoured to be interested in ending his playing career in the MLS. It has been reported that Demichelis is ready to join New York City FC as the last destination of his illustrious football career.

The 33 year old Argentine has a year left on his contract with the English club and is gradually winning over the critics who dismissed him as a flop in the English Premier League.

The Argentina international was severely criticized for his mistakes in the season, which included costly errors against Wigan (in the FA Cup) and also against Barcelona in the Champions League, where he was sent off for a horrible tackle on Lionel Messi.

The New York City FC manager Jason Kreis is reportedly in Manchester ahead of the outfit’s launch for the 2015 MLS season and it seems that Demichelis can be an asset for the latest MLS team which is an expansion franchise of Manchester City.
