Juventus appoints Allegri as their new coach

Massimiliano Allegri has been appointed as Juventus coach after Antonio Conte had his contract terminated by mutual consent.

Juventus have hired the former Milan coach for £2m (£1.6m) on a two-year deal as the club is looking for their fourth successive Serie A title.

Allegeri had joined Milan from Italian football club Cagliari in 2010 and in the first season had led them to their first title win at Scudetto since 2004.Milan inevitably finished second after Juventus the next year.

The former midfielder and manager of Aglianese club was sacked by Milan in January this year and they failed to make an impression under the manager Clarence Seedorf , who just lasted for five months thus making way to Fillipo Inzaghi.

Meanwhile, Conte is rumoured to succeed the Cesare Prandelle, and take charge of the Italian national side.

A potential Vidal transfer could be the reason why Conte resigned at Juventus

Reports suggest Juventus’ decision to sell Arturo Vidal to Manchester United forced Conte to resign from the managerial post.

Earlier this year Conte had signed a deal with Juventus till summer 2015.

Allegri believed that this was the right time to bid farewell to Juventus club. “It may be more difficult to keep winning with Juventus,” he said.
