The cries of certain factions in the Arsenal faithful for Wenger’s head reached crescendo on transfer deadline day. For the first time in years, Arsenal had a transfer budget to rival that of the oil-rich teams in the Premier League. Yet, Arsene merely nodded in acknowledgement of the fact that Arsenal did lack that world class talent, gave cryptic interviews, while accruing significant interest on the whopping 70 million transfer warchest.

If there is one thing that most people failed to realise, besides the fact that the trophy cabinet is gathering dust as many rivals fans point out, is that Arsene Wenger was very much committed to playing world class football. In what will be remembered for years to come, he swooped in on Europe’s No.1 chance creator since 2010 and wrapped it all up before the Tottenham bird could lay an egg.

The Professor had left his mark on yet another generation of children. While the praise is all for Mr.Wenger, the celebration is for what is, in our opinion, the best signing of the season. A warm welcome to the German magician, Mesut Ozil.
