Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have announced on their website that Mohamed Sissoko and the club have agreed to terminate the player’s contract, making him a free agent.

The Mali international played 28 Ligue 1 games and scored two goals for the Parisians since joining in 2011 and had one year left on his contract before it was terminated. The tough-tackling midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina. As a free agent he can join a club outside of the transfer window.

The 28-year-old spent three years at Juventus before joining PSG, and three years at Liverpool prior to his spell in Turin.
