Mohun Bagan have confirmed the signing of former Cameroon striker Pierre Boya for the 2014-15 season. The 30-year-old will be the club’s marquee foreigner having played in the UEFA Champions League for Serbian club Partizan Belgrade in 2010-11.
Boya has represented the Cameroon senior national team four times with his last appearance coming in 2007. He has also had spells in Romania, France, Austria and Denmark and last played for Albanian top tier club Kukesi.
Sportskeeda learnt that Boya’s salary will be around 1.14 crore and is expected to be in Kolkata later this month. He becomes the club’s third foreigner for the campaign with Japanese Katsumi Yusa retained and Nigerian central defender Fatai Adisa Alao added to the team.
The Mariners officially start their season in August with the Calcutta Football League.
