Helicopter airlifted Neymar from Brazil’s training camp to his home in Guarujá in São Paulo state.
In the 1 minute 20 second emotional video, he says:
"Brazilian people – players, coaches and fans; this is a very tough moment. I am struggling with words to express my thoughts at the moment. I want to tell you that I'll be back to the field as soon as possible. I would like to thank you for your support and affection expressed through the messages that have been sent to me.
Neymar, who evidently was speaking with eyes all swollen continued; "My dream has not yet ended, it was momentarily put on hold due to an incident, but it is still alive. I am sure my team-mates will make sure that I can achieve my dream, which is to be a World Cup champion.
"Another of my dreams was to play in the final of a World Cup, but I won't be able to do it now. Although I'm sure that my team-mates will win and be champions along with me, and we, the Brazilian people, will be celebrating this achievement.
