Adriano Galliani, the CEO of AC Milan has plain denied receiving any offers for their star forward Mario Balotelli from English Premier League outfit Arsenal.

Speaking to various media outlets before the start of their pre-season friendly at Monza on Sunday.

The Milan chief in his interview said: "We have not received any offer (for Balotelli) and at this time, there is nothing from Arsenal."

This statement totally rubbishes certain reports earlier this week that a fee of around £15.8million had been agreed between the Rossoneri and the Gunners for the 23 year old Italian international.

Balotelli joined Milan in January, 2013 following two and a half year spell at frustrating spell at Manchester City.

The Italian forward later claimed that he never came to terms with the English culture and ended up making the headlines for all sorts of reasons (both good and bad) during his stay in Manchester.

Balotelli however, seemed re-juvianted upon joining the club he supported as a boy. He went on to score 12 goals in 12 appearances in the Serie A, upon his return to the San Siro that season, helping Milan secure a place in next year’s Champions League.

Arsenal have been on the lookout to add more depth up front and bring someone in to challenge Olivier Giroud who was the only recognized forward available in Arsene Wenger’s arsenal.

The return of Joel Campbell from two successive loans and the further development of Yaya Sanogo, however, should provide the squad with much more competition.

The media have been relentless in linking the Gunners with a move for Balotelli even after Arsene Wenger having plainly denying having any interest in the ex-Manchester City forward.

Arsenal’s pursuit of Loic Remy, however, seems to be over. The Frenchman was strongly linked with a move to North London after the QPR forward was spotted in the crowd at the Emirates last season.

After, stumbling on the player’s wage demands, the Frenchman now seems to be heading to Merseyside to join Brendan Rodger’s revolution at Liverpool after the two clubs reportedly agreed on a £8.5million fee for the player.
