Noel Blake names 18 man squad to play in Euro 2014 Elites

The England U-19 manager has named the 18 man squad that he hopes will be able to win the European Youth Competition. Noel Blake who has been head coach of the England U-19 since 2008, is hopeful of the country’s chances.

England will face Montenegro first on the 24th of May , and then move on to Scotland on the 26th . They will then take on Ukraine on the 29th which would wrap up their appearance in the final round of qualifiers. The team is best represented by FA Youth Cup and Under-21 Premier League champions Chelsea, with 5 players chosen from the West London outfit’s academy. Southampton who are seen as the youth powerhouse of the English Premier League are represented second best, with four players from their prestigious academy.

The entire team is expected to meet up at St.George’s Park to begin their final preparations before their first kick-off.
