Norwegian coach wants sperm from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo to 'build' a strong side

The expression on Ronaldo’s face seems to say it all

Every football manager has his or her own set of plans in order to make their respective teams forces to reckon with. However, it will take something special to beat the idea that Ole Vidar Toftesund, the manager of Norwegian club, Nordstranda has come up with in order to improve his current squad.

In a video posted on his Facebook page on October 5, Toftesund has presented a very dodgy (or innovative) strategy in order to build a competitive side at Nordstranda. His solution to make the club better is to convince Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo to give donate their sperm and help him create a team of winners in the next 20 years.

The video starts with Toftesund analysing his current team's performances and why they have been below par. In what is a very open and maybe even insulting manner, the coach goes on about how most of his players are “really bad” and also how some of them “big and fat”.

Although the video might have started on a grim note, Toftesund finds reason to look for a solution to rid himself of the problems he is facing at Nordstranda. A solution that would make the 125-year-old football club the best in the world.

Toftesund vowed to make his team players’ girlfriends pregnant with the sperm from the “world's best players” like Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo and Paul Gazza [Gascoigne]. It seems Toftesund has set himself a much greater challenge at trying to implement this bizarre idea than trying to help motivate his players.

This has got to be the most ridiculous attempt at rebuilding a team. However, credit has to be given to Toftesund, who had the guts to come up with such an idea and share it with the world. Who knows, if Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo or Gascoigne do agree to speak with Toftesund, Nordstrand could end up becoming a European superpower.

Nordstrand IF plays in Group 1 of the Third Division, which is the fourth tier of Norwegian football. In their most recent fixture, Nordstrand lost 0-7 at home to table-toppers, Krakeroy.

With only three more matches to go in the season, Nordstranda are currently sixth in the table and currently stand no chance of being promoted to the Second Division, being 20 points off the top of the table.
