French midfielder Samir Nasri has completed a loan move Spanish side Sevilla. The player was already out of favor when Pep arrived and it was not much of a surprise that the player would leave for pastures new with the players the new manager has brought in.

Nasri joined Manchester City in 2011, from Arsenal after he enjoyed his breakthrough season with the North Londoners. But after his move, he could not really establish himself at City. The playmaker had his moments in the sun but never really established himself as a regular and reliable player.

Nasri made a total of 210 appearances in the Premier League and scored 35 goals. The 29-year-old was discovered by Arsene Wenger as a youngster at Marseille and joined Arsenal in 2008.

Sevilla sold the likes of Konplyanka and Kyrchowiak this season, with the former joining Schalke on loan and the latter joining Paris Sanit Germain. The manager that won them three Europa League titles, Unai Emery also left the club to take over from Laurent Blanc at PSG.

New manager Jorge Sampaoli is determined to keep the success going at the club. He is trying all he can to rebuild the team and fill the gaps left by players who have left in the summer.

Nasri will add high quality to the club that finished 7th last season, and are also competing in the Champions League this year. They have already lost two chances to win a trophy this season to Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Pep Guardiola has now let three players go today, with Wilfried Bony joining Stoke City, Joe Hart moving to Torino and now Samir Nasri the one to part ways with the club. But the surprising thing is none of them are permanent transfers.

The biggest departure is obviously Joe Hart. The goalkeeper has gone from the highs of being No 1 for City and England to being demoted by Pep and eventually loaned out. Hart will remain as England’s number one, the same being confirmed by Sam Allardyce.

Claudio Bravo will most likely make his debut for the club after the international break. The Chilean moved from Barcelona after playing his last game for the club earlier.
