Ander Herrera is the best summer signing according to Paul Scholes

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes feels that Ander Herrera is the player that has made the biggest impact on the team amongst the new summer signings made by United this year. He took a sizeable part off the £150-million splurge manager Louis van Gaal indulged in back in the summer.

The other players who joined Manchester United this year included Angel Di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, and Daley Blind.

In an interview with Newstalk FM, he said that he felt the 25-year-old Spaniard is the player who has made the biggest impact this season.

The 40-year old said, “I think it was difficult for all the signings at first. The first six, seven, eight months was probably very difficult.

“I think you'd have to say now that Herrera's been the one who's impressed me most.”

Scholes said that despite initial struggles, Herrera has found his feet and has goals in him according to the former United midfielder.

“He's another one that did struggle to get in the team early on, but now he's playing really well, playing really good football, looks like he's going to score goals, looks like he's going to make goals.

“He's been a great addition and he's only a young lad as well so hopefully he can get even better.”
