Paul Scholes joins the Manchester United coaching staff as Ryan Giggs' assistant

Paul Scholes will help Ryan Giggs lead Manchester United for the remainder of the season

After the appointment of Ryan Giggs as the interim manager, Manchester United have called in club legend Paul Scholes to assist his former team-mate.

Following the sacking of manager David Moyes on Tuesday morning, the club’s official website reported that Giggs had been handed over the responsibilities of managing the senior squad till the end of the season.

The 40 year old included U-19 United team coach Phil Neville and Nicky Butt to help him in coaching the first team. With Paul Scholes as the new addition to the staff, it seems now that the ‘golden generation’ of players will work together for the remainder of the season.

A post on Manchester United’s official Twitter feed read,”It’s great to see Paul Scholes here at the Aon Training Complex today, assisting Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Phil Neville.”
