Paul Scholes says Sergio Aguero is only EPL player who can play for Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes feels that there is only one current Premier League player who would get into the team at Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich. And he does not ply his trade for the Red Devils.

In an interview to BT Sport, Scholes opined: “If you look at the quality of player that comes to England, I don’t think we have the best players in Europe or in the world.”

The Ginger Prince is of the opinion that the best Premier League clubs are not only ranked below the trio of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but are also a step behind the next tier such as last year’s Champions League finalists Juventus and French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.

The ex-England international stated: “I really don’t think it’s any surprise. When you think about the quality of players we have, do you think any of the players at our top clubs now would get in the Barcelona team?

“I very much doubt it. They wouldn’t get in the Real Madrid team or the Bayern Munich team. Maybe Sergio Aguero is the exception.”

Aguero moved to the cash-rich Manchester City from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 and scored 30 goals in 48 appearances in his debut season including the title winning goal in injury time in the final game of the season.

The Argentine found the back of the net 17, 28 and 32 times in his next three seasons as he helped City to the FA Community Shield in 2012, the League Cup in 2013/14 and another Premier League title in 2013/14. He also won the golden Boot last season with 26 goals.

Kun has been among the goals a staggering 110 times in 174 matches for the Citizens having an exceptional goal to game ratio of 0.63. The Argentine forward was always touted for greatness and his style of play has been compared to his former father in law Diego Maradona at times.

Enrique Cerezo, the Atletico Madrid president who signed him for the Colchoneros once quoted:When he has the ball at his feet there is the feeling that something will happen, and always good.” Real Madrid have pursued the signature of the ex Rojiblancos man for a long time now as they view him as a quality addition to their star-studded squad.

El Kun will hope to find the back of the net when his side faces off against Newcastle in the Premier League on 3 October 2015.
