Who will win the PFA player of the year award?

Liverpool’s brilliant Premier League season has translated into PFA Players’ Player of the Year nominations for strike duo Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge along with captain Steven Gerrard.

Suarez has 29 goals and 12 assists in the Premier League while Sturridge has 20 goals and 7 assists. Captain Gerrard too has had a season to remember with the midfielder putting in some brilliant performances at the heart of the Liverpool midfield.

The 3 Liverpool players will be joined on the list by Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure and Southampton star Adam Lallana.

Sturridge and Hazard are also on the shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year award. Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling is also a nominee alongside Everton’s Ross Barkley who has been at the forefront of his side’s challenge for the Champions League spots.

Also nominated for the Young Player of the Year award is Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey who turned in world class performances for Arsenal before an injury kept him out for sometime. Ramsey has 8 goals and 7 assists in just 17 league starts this season.

The list is rounded off by Southampton left-back Luke Shaw who has been speculated as a sure starter for England at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in June.
