Piers Morgan has aimed a Twitter rant at Manchester United legend David Beckham, after the Englishman voiced his support for under-fire Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. Morgan, a notorious Arsenal fan, labelled Beckham an 'attention-seeker', before proceeding to further criticise him in a series of tweets.

Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Watford at home dumped them out of the FA Cup, with many believing it to be the best chance of a trophy for the Gunners. The result has left many Arsenal fans calling for Arsene Wenger’s head, with Morgan foremost amongst them. David Beckham, however, isn’t one of those in agreement.

The exchange all began because of this Instagram post asking Wenger to quit, which compelled David Beckham to reply, as the Englishman termed it ‘Disgraceful... No respect attention seekers’.

However, Piers Morgan, who has been a proponent of #WengerOUT since a long time, took exception to Beckham’s criticism of Arsenal fans, terming him the ‘world’s greatest living attention-seeker’ and inviting Beckham to ‘shut it’.

Morgan then invited the ire of Beckham’s sizable fan contingent, batting off the brickbats aimed at him as he was called an attention seeker himself.

Morgan then took aim at ‘Brand Beckham’, voicing that he was rather tired of David Beckham’s excellent PR strategy. However, Morgan did note that he neither liked nor disliked David Beckham.

Morgan ended his rant with a final call to music superstar Kanye West, as the American tweeted about something entirely unrelated, but Morgan nonetheless asked him to support the #WengerOUT campaign

Morgan didn’t let his anger dissipate, as the Arsenal fan was still fuming hours after being tweet-stormed by Beckham’s fans.

The Arsenal fan then underlined his loyalty to the club with a series of tweets.

Clearly, Morgan and Beckham do not see eye-to-eye on this matter.
