Lisbon, March 30 (IANS) Portugal collected their third straight win in Euro 2016 football qualifiers, beating Serbia 2-1 to go top of Group I.

Cristiano Ronaldo made little impact as defenders scored both Portuguese goals on Sunday, reports Xinhua.

Ricardo Carvalho headed Portugal ahead in the 10th minute, defender Nemanja Matic blasted home a spectacular equaliser in the 61st minute only for full-back Fabio Coentrao to nail the winner two minutes later.

In the other Group I game, Albania came from behind to beat Armenia 2-1 to go level on seven points with Denmark, two points behind Portugal. Serbia, who had been deducted three points for disturbances during a home qualifier against Albania last October, have one point from four games.
