On his way to Madrid – Danilo

Porto have confirmed that Danilo will be playing for Real Madrid next season after the current Champions League winners agreed a massive €31-million deal for the Brazilian right-back.

The 23-year-old’s signing would surely signal the exit of one of Madrid’s current right-sided full-backs – Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Arbeloa. And with Arbeloa recently linked to a move away from Spain, it certainly shouldn’t come as a surprise to see him back in the Premier League with former club Liverpool, one of the clubs linked with the experienced full-back.

Danilo is currently in his third season with Portuguese giants Porto and been a regular for them since his move from Brazilian club Santos. He also became a regular for Brazil since the 2014 World Cup and his signing is a massive statement of intent from Carlo Ancelotti’s team.

Danilo has signed a 6-year deal with Madrid which will see him don the white of Los Blancos till 2021. The move has been made official by both the clubs.

Danilo had a €50-million release clause in his contract at Porto. The Brazilian has represented his country 11 times without netting a goal for them while he has played 84 matches for Porto so far and scored 8 goals.
