Barcelona goalkeeper Pinto who was a subject of mockery among the Madrid fans

The whole world stops when the El Clasico begins. It is one of the biggest matches in the calender year with huge media coverage, broadcasted in almost in every corner of the world. And certainly, the local broadcasters look to take advantage of this event to increase their viewers and create topics of interest among the fans.

During the Copa Del Rey final match on Wednesday night, the Spanish national television TVE, created a poll to choose the Man of the Match. The polling was made ??via the social networking site Twitter by using the hashtag #MVPCopa.

The opportunity was apparently used by Madrid supporters to jeer the Barca keeper as they voted Pinto, the Man of the match in favour of the Los Blancos.

The Blaugrana keeper who is currently the first choice goalie due to the injury of Victor Valdes, didn’t have a comfortable night in front of goal as he was unable to stop Angel Di Maria’s shot before Bale toe poked a goal between his legs.

Pinto lead the poll rankings with a clear 75% lead which was seen as a sign of mockery from the Madrid fans.

Finding their coverage in an embarrassing position, the station disbanded all the tweets regarding this matter and awarded Gareth Bale the Man of the match award.
