Reports: Real Madrid looking to sign on Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea this June

David de Gea to Real Madrid?

La Liga giants Real Madrid it seems is in no mood to relent in their quest to acquire the services of Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea. There were reports last month of manager Louis van Gaal looking to swap the Spaniard in exchange for striker Gareth Bale, but Los Blancos president had made it clear later that the club is in no mood to sell the Welshman.

The front page of the magazine, AS today shows a pic of the goal-keeper with the headline “Operation de Gea” and states that the club are looking to make a strong move to get him to the Santiago Bernabeu, this June.

If the deal doesn't work out, then the Carlo-Ancelotti managed side may wait for a free transfer in 2016 and could bring in Chelsea keeper Petr Cech as a stop-gap.

Hummels close to Old Trafford move

However, it isn't all grim news for the Red Devils. If reports in Germany are to be believed then Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has told his teammates in the German side that he is on the brink of saying ‘yes’ to the Old Trafford-based club.

Another centre back is also being linked with a move to the Red Devils and in this case, it is believed that even Liverpool are looking to purchase him.

According to the Metro, Lille defender Simon Kjaer is also up-for-grabs for a fee of £11 million. Also, if United do go for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne, them they will have to swap him with Mexico forward Javier Hernandez.

The 26-year-old was linked with a move to the Saints last year but instead went to Real Madrid on a one-year loan deal.
