Real Madrid planning shock £25m move for Chelsea midfielder Ramires, according to reports

Madrid looking to launch a bid for Ramires

Real Madrid are planning a shocking £25 million move for Chelsea’s athletic central-midfielder Ramires, according to reports in the Mirror.

The Brazilian international joined the club from Portuguese outfit Benfica in the summer of 2010 and as he nears four-years at the club, Jose Mourinho is planning to cash in on the dynamic midfielder.

Ramires has excelled since moving to west London and played an instrumental role in helping the Blues win the Champions League in 2012. The 27-year-old netted an outrageous chip against Barcelona at the Nou Camp, which helped Chelsea reach the final in Munich. Ramires was suspended for the final, however the midfielder was a fans favourite during the campaign.

Since then Ramires’ form has gone slightly pear-shaped and he has failed to recreate his form from previous seasons, with his form this term under the spotlight.

Madrid are looking to move for the Brazilian and with a remarkable £25 million offer on the table, Mourinho might be tempted to offload the midfielder. The Blues have already managed to steal a stunning £50 million from Paris Saint-Germain for the services of David Luiz – a transfer fee which Mourinho would have been laughing at.

While Ramires can still play a key role at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho will know it is another offer the club cannot refuse, with £25 million exceeding expectations.

Mourinho is reportedly planning to move for Spurs midfielder Sandro, in a bid to replace Ramires.
