Report: Mats Hummels, Fabio Coentrao and Sergio Busquets linked with Manchester United

Mats Hummels of Dortmund is not happy with Borussia Dortmund’s performance in Bundesliga

Manchester United are rumoured to be looking at the prospect of signing stars Mats Hummels, Sergio Busquets, Fabio Coentrao in the January transfer window. The Manchester United Evening news revealed that United is keeping track of the three players for a possible transfer to Old Trafford.

Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has put his future in Germany in a doubt after he called his current team as 'pathetic'. Borussia are presently second from the bottom and in the relegation zone with only 15 points from 17 games. The 26-year-old German may cost more than £45million to bring him to Manchester.

It has been reported by Express that United want to bring their long-time target Real Madrid’s Fabio Coentrao to the club, but they will have to fight Liverpool for the Portuguese international’s signature. The club will have to shelve out around £25m to get the 26-year-old left-back to Old Trafford.

There have also been claims of Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal showing interest in signing Barcelona defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets.

According to the Telegraph, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is reportedly looking to sell Busquets and Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-German are said to be interested in the Spanish midfielder. The 26-year-old may follow his former team-mate Victor Valdes, who is training with United, to play in the English Premier League.
