Laurent Koscielny has been a key figure for Arsenal at the back in recent times

Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny has vowed that his future at the club will be resolved before the World Cup starts in the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Frenchman has been a star player for the Gunners this season, forming a solid partnership at the back with Per Mertesacker. That has crumbled over the last couple of months but his form in the first half of the season was superb, as Arsenal topped the table.

Due to his consistent performances, Koscielny has solidified his place in France’s national side and attracted interest from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

The French side have an almost limitless pot of money and have assembled a strong squad including the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva.

Koscielny is next on their shopping list but he has vowed that his future at Arsenal, where he still has three years left on his contract, will be sorted soon.

Reports in the Daily Mail suggest the Frenchman is line for an offer of a £90,000-a-week deal.

Arsenal believe he will stay with the club but if they fail to finish inside the top four, it is yet unknown as to whether Koscielny is prepared to spend a year – or more – in the Europa League over winning trophies with PSG and competing at the top level of European football.
