Robin van Persie says he’s relaxed about his future

There is a lot of speculation going around about Robin van Persie's future at Old Trafford. The striker who turns 32 in August, told reporters that he is completely relaxed when asked about his future at the club. “Am I worried? No, I'm totally relaxed,” he said.

The striker is getting the much-needed match time and training with his international team to get fully fit for the next season at Old Trafford. He also insisted that one bad season won’t leave him on the sidelines warming the bench.

According to him he has 3-4 good years of football left in him before he starts thinking about reducing his work-load at the age of 36-37. He said, “In August I'm 32. But I still have the ambition to play for another eight years.

In a few year’s time, I may have to accept that I will no longer play at the very highest level. I don't think that moment is coming now. I still feel very, very fit. “Playing in the first-team is very important for me. This is why I will probably step down one level when I am 36 or 37. But not now.”

With just 10 goals and whole lot of injury problems last season, It would be very tough road for the Manchester United striker to get back in the first team and to convince Van Gaal that he is at par with the rest of the first team squad players.
