For the second year in a row, Robin van Persie’s replica shirt was the highest selling replica shirt in the EPL, in spite of having a disappointing campaign in 2013/14.

These rankings are based on replica kit sales worldwide, compiled by Sporting iD.

Last season, with Liverpool coming very close to winning the title, many Steven Gerrard and Luis Suarez kits were also sold as they made it to the top three. Chelsea’s Eden Hazard took the fourth spot.

New Arsenal signing Mesut Ozil rounded off the top five while Juan Mata, who joined Manchester United in January this year came sixth. Sergio Aguero and Shinji Kagawa make it to the list two seasons in a row while Wayne Rooney slipped four positions down to sixth.

Robert Thayne, Sporting iD’s Global License Director, said: “After a remarkable season that went to the wire, players such as Van Persie, Suarez, Hazard and Gerrard lit up the league and captivated Premier League fans across the world.”

“Supporters are clearly showing their loyalty to these players and their clubs by personalising shirts with official Premier League player names, numbers and sleeve badges”.
