Romelu Lukaku’s father believes that his son will leave Everton and the transfer is likely to be sealed before the start of Euro 2016. According to the Belgian international’s father, Roger, Everton want £65 million for the striker with PSG, Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus all interested, but a move to Italy is unlikely to take place.

The former Chelsea man has been in excellent form, scoring 25 goals in 46 appearances for Everton this season. Although his performances have not been enough to save Everton’s season, he has attracted a lot of interest from clubs across Europe.

“Everton are asking around £65m for Rom. I think a transfer will be done before the Euros,” Roger told the Belgian publication Humo.

Lukaku had earlier stated his desire for a move away from Merseyside to play in the Champions League.

“I'm 23 next summer and it would be nice to play in the Champions League next season,” Lukaku had said in an interview in March. “I'm really looking for me to measure myself against the absolute top players. Whether I make a move to Bayern or Man U? All major European clubs come for me into consideration. I think my father has mentioned clubs specifically because they play European football," said the Belgian international.

Lukaku Sr had earlier suggested the striker to move to Bayern Munich or Manchester United but expects his agent to do what is best for the Belgian’s career. “Romelu will decide his future, but agents have the last word most of the time. I hope and I think Mino Raiola is an honest man.”

“Now, with Romelu it will be quickly arranged. Whether the transfer has been sorted? Almost. I think it will be in place before the European Championship.”

Dispelling rumours of Lukaku playing in Seria A next season, Roger said, “He won't go to Italy, because they keep it closed at the back, too difficult for an attacker. What is certain, to continue to make progress, he needs to change clubs, but we are mainly engaged in making the right choice.”

A transfer before the start of Euro 2016 would be favoured by Belgium, who start their campaign against Italy in a Group E fixture on June 13 and would want the striker firing on all fronts.
