The striker Ronaldo, who was elected three times the world’s best football player – 1996, 97 and 2002 – is back from injury in the right calf and will play for Corinthians on Sunday against the Guarani FC for the Brazilian Championship 2010.

The team has not won in the last 6 games and dropped from first to third place in the league table. Ronaldo has not played since september, 8, and played just three of 29 games in the league. The player of 34 years has suffered many physical and medical problems and he is considering to stop playing soon.

The fact that he suffered eight surgeries during his football career also hinders his recovery. Last night Ronaldo tweeted that he will return in the next Corinthians game and today on the press conference in São Paulo city confirming his return to the fields on the next Sunday.

Playing alongside Ronaldo in Corinthians is the left-back Roberto Carlos, 37 years old, ex-Real Madrid player.
