Arsenal are being linked with a renewed bid to sign Mirko Vucinic in the summer and are willing to pay up to £10 million to land the striker from Juventus, according to TalkSPORT.

The Gunners were heavily linked with the Montenegrin international in January as they desperately looked for a striker to take the pressure off of Olivier Giroud upfront.

Arsenal are still in the market for strikers when the transfer window reopens in July, with Nicklas Bendtner almost certain to leave the Emirates, leaving only the largely untested Yaya Sanogo as back-up.

Giroud himself has often flattered to deceive, especially in the big games and Arsene Wenger wants a forward that can challenge the Frenchman for a first team place in his side.

Arsenal reportedly made two bids of Vucinic in January and despite links to a number of other big names with fans demanding money spent again after their title challenge has come up short recently, the Juventus man remains at the foremost of his thoughts.

With Fernando Llorente and Carlos Tevez being manager Antonio Conte’s preferred picks to lead the line at the Juventus Stadium currently, Vucinic has found first-team football hard to come by this season and the 30-year-old is believed to be interested in testing himself in the Premier League while he can still perform to his highest ability.

Mirko Vucinic has completed just two take-ons in ten appearances for Juventus this season, with a success rate of 22%.
