Manchester United’s ‘Class of ’92′ are reportedly planning to make a sensational bid to take over Manchester United.

According to The Sun, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt have held talks about fronting a takeover which would be backed by money from the Middle East.

Manchester United is currently owned by the Glazer Family, who over the years have shown their intent to retain ownership of the club for the long-term. However, with the increasingly mounting up debt, and United’s form in the Premier League this season, former players and fans have voiced their opinions about wanting a change at the club.

After getting defeated 0-3 by Manchester City at Old Trafford, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes delivered a rather scathing assessment of their former club.

Scholes said United need to sign a host of players in the summer, while Gary Neville claimed his former club were suffering an identity crisis despite spending £80?million since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

While the news would definitely excite Manchester United fans all over the globe, getting the Glazers to even consider a bid would be an extremely tough task.
