Rumour : Danny Welbeck considering move away from Manchester United for regular football

Manchester United v Aston Villa - Premier League

Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is rumoured to be mulling over his future at the club after reports have emerged that he is unhappy about his lack of playing time under new boss David moyes.

Welbeck is reportedly unsure about his relationship with Moyes and is considering a move, with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs being interested in securing the services of the England international.

Welbeck still has 2 years left on his current contract at Manchester United and will be looking to ensure that his career growth is not hampered by being third or fourth choice striker at the club. A new contract is expected to be offered to Welbeck post the World Cup in Brazil although it remains to be seen if the 23-year old will put pen to it.

Moyes has often employed Welbeck in the wider areas with the striker’s position being taken up by either of Robin van Persie or Wayne Rooney at almost all times. Welbeck has made 21 appearances in the Premier League for united scoring 9 times and getting a solitary assist.

Just last week, Moyes has come down on Welbeck, Tom Cleverly and Ashley Young for a night out following Manchester United’s quarter final exit against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Welbeck has been a lifelong United fan and is adored by the United faithful. Losing the striker, and more so to a Premier League team, will not be received well by anyone connected with the club. With Welbeck’s best years still ahead of him, Moyes will do well to keep the striker at the club at any cost as he looks to bounce back after what has been a disappointing season for United.
