William Carvalho to Manchester United deal done?

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a fee in the region of £35 million for Sporting Lisbon star William Carvalho.

The Red Devils have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old midfield general over the last few months and with Manchester United in desperate need of reinforcements in the middle of the park, Moyes has been keen on recruiting the young talent.

Carvalho is reportedly one of the lowest paid stars in Europe and Sporting have yet to bring his wage into line. However, that seems set to change according to talkSPORT, after both United and Sporting Lisbon agreed a fee in the region of £35 million for the wonderkid, and he will now join the club in the summer on a five-year contract.

United have been following Carvalho for a while and have faced reported competition from the likes of Monaco, Real Madrid and Barcelona. However, Moyes’ men have always been front-runners and Carvalho has always preferred a move to the Theatre of Dreams.

Moyes will be keen to officially tie up the deal now and aim to have the youngster ready to join the club in the summer. Carvalho is being tipped to make the Portugal World Cup squad and may even start in their group games.
