According to various sources, Manchester United will talk to Ezequiel Garay’s officials over the weekend. We understand first set of talks have taken place already.
The player will leave his current club Benfica in the summer.
Ezequiel Garay, 24 has been linked to Manchester United for a long time now who are desperately trying to find a replacement for their long serving central defenders Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand. Nemanja Vidic is joining Inter Milan next season and Rio Ferdinand is rumoured to retire at the end of the season.
Other then the Red Devils, Napoli are also interested in securing the services of the Argentinian central defender. Garay has made 18 and 75 appearances for Argentina and Benfica respectively. He has scored 18 times while playing for Benfica so far.
