Sources report that Manchester United are preparing a record £32 million bid for young creative midfielder Axel Witsel.

David Moyes has had a disappointing start to the season since his appointment at Old Trafford, which sees the Red Devils languishing in 9th place in the table.

The manager’s woes in midfield are well documented with Micheal Carrick out due to injury and lone summer recruit – Marouane Fellaini yet to find his feet at Manchester. David Moyes is desperate to strengthen his midfield, and has identified young 24-year old Axel Witsel to fill the void.

Witsel has been a star for both club and country after notching up impressive performances in recent months.

After a poor summer transfer window for David Moyes, where he missed out on top target Andre Hererra, the Scot has his work cut out for him. He will need to beat competition from a host of other top European clubs who are tracking the Zenit star.
