Luka Modric may reunite with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea

Luka Modric may reunite with Jose Mourinho at Chelsea

We have found a new FIFA agent in Francis Gallardo, who has regularly reported that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is keen to reunite with his former play-maker Luka Modric.

On 18 Apr, 2014 he informed that Jose Mourinho would go to the extent of adding Eden Hazard plus hard cash to bring in Luka Modric from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window of 2014.

According to Gallardo the deal is in operation as Real Madrid plan possible replacements for Luka Modric,” The thought of Real Madrid lining up with Hazard, Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema is a frightening prospect, which would set fear throughout European football.”

He reported,” Real Madrid is considering Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Paris Saint-Germain’s Javier Pastore as possible replacements.”

These are strong statement by the FIFA agent and revered journalist Francis Gallardo regarding a possible move by Chelsea for Luka Modric.

On 12 Apr,2014, he went live in the Spanish media and reported,” Mourinho is a fan of the strong Real Madrid star. He knows Modric will be expensive and would be happy to exchange a pretty good player from Chelsea. The player Mourinho wants at Chelsea is Modric and he is willing to include Oscar plus cash in the transaction.”

Will Mourinho sacrifice Oscar just like Juan Mata and Mesut Ozil.

Will Mourinho sacrifice Oscar just like Juan Mata and Mesut Ozil.

Oscar, after the departure of Juan Mata to Manchester United in 2013 has become Mourinho’s new number 10. Like Mesut Ozil for Real Madrid and Mata for Chelsea, will Oscar make way for a player like Luka Modric or will Chelsea swap in another player and add some hefty amount from Roman Abramovich big pockets. Are they are so interested to sign Luka Modric?

It’s no secret that Mourinho has been an admirer of the 28 year old Croatian International. Mourinho’s first attempted to sign Modric in his first spell as Chelsea manager back in 2007.

He moved to Real Madrid in 2010 and made a wish. His request to sign Luka Modric was approved by Florentino Pérez in 2012. Just in one season under Mourinho at Real Madrid, Modric became a fan favourite and a match winner. He launched himself as a great Real Madrid player against Manchester United in UEFA Champions League Round-of-16. His crucial goal turned the tide in Real Madrid’s favour and from that moment onwards, like his tenure at White Hart Lane, Modric has gone on to cement his place at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

The Croatian, who has already scored a total of 15 goals for Real Madrid in 97 games is no less than a KTM 390 Duke engine. He adds fluidity and incredible work rate. He is a floating midfielder and never gets dispossessed. Will Los Blancos let him go in a swap deal for Oscar, the 22 year old Chelsea play-maker?

Modric recently stated,” I want to stay here for as many years as possible and, if it’s possible, finish my career here. I really enjoy my life in Spain. Madrid is a big and beautiful city with great parks where I like to walk.”

Report looks strong and Francis Gallardo suggest Oscar is probably not a big match player. He has missed and featured more as substitutes against good teams due to his lack of tracking back issues. A swap between Oscar and Modric may workout well for both the teams . In Oscar, Carlo Ancelotti would possibly find another Kaka of old Milan. While Chelsea will get a midfielder who could run the field all day and score at showdown time like Michael Essien used to for Mourinho.

You should however take the man’s reports with a pinch of salt though as it was again Gallardo who was reported , saying: “Lionel Messi will leave Barcelona at the end of the season(2013/14), and will accept a lucrative offer from PSG.”, Incredible!
