The 17-year old has emerged as a target for the Spanish giants

Real Madrid have already started planning their targets for the next summer transfer window. The European champions were surprisingly silent this summer as they signed just one player with the transfer period coming to end on Wednesday. But with Los Blancos facing a transfer ban for the next two windows, it remains to be seen how Zinedine Zidane will work to get his targets.

Florentino Perez, the club president has set his sights on AC Milan's wonder kid Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 17-year-old became Italy's youngest ever player since 1911 last week when he was chosen as the custodian in Italy's friendly against France.

He became Serie A's youngest player ever too last year as he was made Milan's no.1 last campaign at such a tender age.

New Italy boss Giampiero Ventura had earlier said on the 17-year-old, "Donnarumma is a very young player who enjoyed an excellent season last year. Time is on his side and he will have to keep working, always striving to improve. He could be the heir to Buffon, I wish this for him and I wish this for the Nazionale as well."

The 6' 5" goalkeeper had been likened by many as Buffon's successor with the veteran being 38 right now.

Earlier this year when asked about Donnarumma's future, his agent Mino Raiola had said, "There won't be any issues with that. I will meet with Adriano Galliani, and if the day comes when Donnarumma will leave, it will only be to play for a foreign club. He only sees Milan in Italy.

"I won't say anything in particular, but it's clear he is receiving a lot of attention. I can only say that he is doing well for Milan and he appreciates all the attention he is receiving. Christian Abbiati has been like a big brother to him." Raiola continued.

After cooling their long-term interest in David De Gea, Real are now looking for a keeper to be the ever improving Keylor Navas' successor. Zidane wants his son, Luca to be the one following Navas at the Bernabeu while Perez is pondering with the idea of bringing the talented Donnarumma to Spain.

The Italian, who joined Milan's academy when he was 14, will have a lot of offers come next summer after impressing potential suitors in the past few months.
