Dnipro winger Yevhen Konoplyanka’s agent has sparked rumours that Liverpool have reignited their interest in the 24-year-old with a string of messages on his official Twitter account.
The midfielder almost joined the Merseysiders in January on deadline day but the deal could not be completed in time, despite the Premier League giants sending a delegation to Ukraine in order to get the transfer over the line.
Although Kop boss Brendan Rodgers was reportedly keen to bring the Ukrainian international to Anfield in January, the northern Irishman was believed to have since set his sights on other targets as more options will become available in the summer.
However, the player’s agent James Lippett has sent a cryptic message that he has arrived in Liverpool, which has fuelled speculation Rodgers has had a change of heart and is in talks with the Reds over a possible transfer for Konoplyanka.
But with no confirmation from the club, the rumour mill looks to continue to gather pace surrounding Konoplyanka’s future.
Meanwhile, if Rodgers can guide his side to a maiden Premier League victory they may well be able to purchase players of the highest calibre.
