According to Metro, Manchester City have told Adnan Januzaj that they will triple the salary he gets at Manchester United currently if he accepts to make a move to the Etihad.

As United fans across the globe are recovering from their shock 2-1 home defeat by West Brom, this will probably make things worse.

Although it might be a paper rumour, things could change drastically and in football there is no guarantee on this ground. Januzaj was reportedly having contract talks with Moyes and United officials this summer, but nothing has been agreed as off now and Manchester City are preparing to swoop in and sign the 18-year-old United prodigy.

Tipped to be the last gem earthed by Sir Alex Ferguson, Januzaj has grabbed attention from his four United first-team appearances. It is alleged that Manchester City might offer the youngster three times of what United are paying him currently.

However, Moyes, talking to the press on Friday, admitted that he was aware of ‘external influences’ in deciding Januzaj’s future, and hinted at a battle to sign him up.

‘Adnan is keen to stay, but he has some external influences round him,’ Moyes said. We really think an awful lot of him.’

In other news, England International Wayne Rooney who continued his goal scoring form with a set piece goal yesterday, was found having a kickabout with golfer Rory McIlroy.

The duo were filming a new advert for a promotional event for sponsors Nike following which they headed to a local Bar and restaurant in the neighbourhood.
