Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has insisted that he doesn’t regret making the move from Arsenal, telling reporters that he has won titles at City and is very happy with his choice.

Nasri, who faced his former club over the weekend, incurred the wrath of Arsenal fans by moving to their title rivals and was accused by the club’s support of moving to the Citizens for financial gain.

“My departure from Arsenal? When you leave for a club where there is more money, you are supposed to be mercenary,” he opened.

“I took stock before I went to Manchester City, I was joining a club with Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez.”

The Frenchman has won the Premier League title at Manchester City, while Arsenal are still without a trophy since 2005, leading Nasri to point to his trophy cabinet to vindicate the move.

“I spent three seasons at Arsenal without any title and at the end of the season we sold our best player that was Cesc Fabregas.

“I preferred to join City and I won titles and indeed I earn a better living. And why not a second national title in three years?

“I am very happy with my choice.”

Nasri has created a chance every 34 minutes played this season.
