Clarence Seedorf was sacked via email by AC Milan

Seedorf sacked after only 5 moths as Milan boss

Clarence Seedorf, the 4-time Champions League winner with three different clubs and a player AC Milan adored for the best part of the last decade was sacked as the manager of Milan via an Email.

The Dutchman who took over the reign of Milan in January 2014 won 11 out of 19 games to see the team finish eighth. The manner of Seedorf’s sacking has proved the escalating tensions between owner Silvio Berlusconi, vice president Adriano Galliani and Seedorf himself. Interestingly, Seedorf had been appointed on owner Berlusconi’s insistence.

The Italian giants appointed Filippo Inzaghi as his successor with immediate effect with Silvio Berlusconi claiming “I’ve seen that Inzaghi is very determined, hungry for victory and absolutely in line with everything we want Milan to be. We want a team which wins, plays convincingly and entertains the fans.

“I hope that next season we can field a team which can start a new cycle. We have to become among the top competitors again like we have been for the past 30 years, at the moment we are between one cycle and another.”
