Sergio Ramos escapes red card for punching Mandzukic on his face

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos clashes against Atletico Madrid’s Mario Mandzukic in Tuesday night's Supercopa tie.

The rivarly between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid is somewhat known to be everyone, and the same was seen during the first leg of Tuesday’s Supercopa when Real Madrid vice captain appeared to have hit Atletico Madrid’s new striker Mario Mandzukic in the face with both of his hands.

During the 60th minute of the game, the Croatian striker had jumped onto Ramos shoulder while attempting a header, eventually landing on top of him. Ramos, who is kwown to be a hot-heated player reacted in his own manner, smacking Mandzukic on the face.

Both Ramos and Mandzukic were issued yellow cards, however, from how it looks like in the highlights, the Spanish defender is lucky to have not been sent off.
