Sir Alex Ferguson flew down to Paris to pay good friend Jose Mourinho a visit ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain. Ferguson was photographed going into the L’Hotel Du Collectionneur in Paris where the Chelsea squad are staying.
The two managers have shared a friendly relationship since 2004 after the Portuguese coach knocked out Ferguson’s Manchester United side en-route to winning the UEFA Champions League with Porto.
The two have remained close friends ever since despite their professional rivalry and the Scott is said to be a great admirer of Mourinho.
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea will be taking on Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League round-of-16 tie. Mourinho, who is looking to win the tournament with Chelsea, will be aiming to become the first manager to win the Champions League with three different clubs; having already won it with Porto (2004) and Inter Milan (2010).
