Sony Six has won the rights to broadcast all FIFA events in India till the end of 2018, including the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The deal also includes rights to broadcast the FIFA Confederation Cup Russia 2017 and also the FIFA U- 17 World Cup 2017 to be held in India.

Sony Six have been broadcasting the FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifiers from the UEFA and CONMEBOL regions and had already acquired the rights to broadcast the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers as well as the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament to be held in France.

Having struck this latest deal, Sony Six will now broadcast 17 landmark FIFA events over the next 5 years. The deal also puts to rest the uncertainty over who will broadcast the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup starting 12th June.
