London, July 25 (IANS) Spanish striker Nolito, who recently joined Manchester City, revealed that he prefers playing under coach Pep Guardiola than returning to his former football club, Barcelona.

"The truth is I enjoyed working with him in Barcelona even though it wasn't much time. It's a reason for me to come here but not the only one," Nolito, 29, was quoted as saying by the Guardian on Monday, recalling his time under Guardiola's helm in 2010-2011.

"I wish Barcelona all the best. I am very proud of Barcelona's interest, but now I am here and I think I made the best decision to come here," the Spanish forward added.

Nolito expressed his happiness about playing in the Premier League, adding that he does not know yet what position he will play in, reports Efe.

"We haven't spoken about it. I will play wherever the manager wants me to play," he said.

Nolito moved to Manchester for four seasons for 18 million euros ($19.7 million), the release clause in his contract with Celta Vigo.
