In a one-of-its-kind video campaign, FIFA 2014 World Cup sponsors Castrol have come up with a cracking video featuring Brazilian football icon Neymar and motorsport star Ken Block going head-to-head.

The video, titled ‘Castrol Footkhana’, pits Neymar and his army of champion freestyle footballers against Block, who is armed with his rally car which is powered by Catrol EDGE (Castrol’s strongest oil).

It is a battle of contrasting arts that are brought together in harmony, and the result is a visual spectacle that is both entertaining and enlightening. The skills and stunts attempted in the video push the envelope of human performance, and seek to express what the human athlete is really capable of.

Both Neymar and Block are Castrol ambassadors, and have charted comparable paths to greatness in their respective sports. While Neymar will seek to lead Brazil to World Cup glory later this year, Block, in addition to excelling in rally races, has also regaled the world with his skateboarding and snowboarding exploits. It’s no wonder that the two produce a scintillating synergy when they are paired together in the video.

Both Neymar and Block have expressed delight at being part of the video, with Neymar saying that “he can’t wait for football fans to see our freestyle tricks in action as we go head-to-head against Ken and his car.” Block, meanwhile, was quoted as saying, “All of them are passionate about their sport as I am about mine, so to have all of us working together on this project has made for some great results.”
