Stats: The 2014/15 season under Jose Mourinho is Chelsea's best start to any season

Chelsea
Chelsea have been the Premier League’s team-to-be-afraid-of this year.

Chelsea under Jose Mourinho have not only proved to be the Premier League’s most threatning team, but now stand as one of the favourites in the Champions League. With a victory over West Brom last week, the Blues now remain on top of the league, seven points clear adrift of second-placed Southampton.

Following the match, when asked about being unbeaten again, head coach Jose Mourinho said, “Maybe Madrid, when we got to 100 points in the league. “I don’t remember but maybe that one.”

“Maybe the second season at Chelsea when we won the title for the second time. I think we also had a very good start to that season,” he added.

Chelsea have won 10 matches, drawn twice and are still unbeaten with 30 goals scored in their favour. This is the team’s best start in the Premier League in their long history, bettering their 2005/06 season where they had lost one game.
