Stephen Constantine to be offered the position of Indian national football team coach

The All India Football Federation have decided to re-appoint Englishman Stephen Constantine as the head coach of senior Indian national football team as well as the U-23 team.

In a statement, the AIFF said, “The All India Football Federation (AIFF), based on the recommendations of the Technical Committee, took the decision to give an offer to Mr. Stephen Constantine to become the Head Coach of the Senior Men’s National Team and the U-23 Men’s National Team. The offer will be communicated to Mr. Constantine by the AIFF General Secretary Mr. Kushal Das.”

Stephen Constantine was in charge of the Indian national football team previously from 2002-2005. During his previous stint as the head coach, India won a silver medal in the Afro-Asian games and won the LG Cup. In his last role, he guided Rwanda to their best position of 68 in the FIFA rankings.
