Asia’s biggest and most prestigious youth football tournament completed its 4th clinic at G D Goenka International School Rohtak. The #KheloFootball initiative, envisaged by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, presented by Star Sports and supported by Delhi Dynamos as the football development partner is now in full bloom as every clinic garners participation from a large number of students.

The scouts were kept really busy with the search and the decision was made hard by the presence of many talented students with their aim set for making the WILD CARD entry into the Subroto Cup finale at Delhi in Sept-Oct 2016.

Participants recieved merchandise, footballs & participation certificates

The 5 students shortlisted from the clinic are – Ankit Kumar, Pankaj, Aakash, Vinesh from DAV school Rohtak and Jatin from Mamta Modern School.

Jatin from Mamta Modern was the star of the day.

The students who didn’t make the cut were really happy about learning new things and drills about football. They said they will try harder the next time.

One of the scouts and an international FIFA referee – Rohan said “Haryana has a lot of well built, fast, agile, strong and skilled players. It is amazing to see the amount of confidence these kids play with.”

The scout camp moves to Hisar next on the 13th August ’16, where the selection will take place at the Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Mangaali – also the home of erstwhile Subroto Cup U17 Girls champions of 2015. The scouts anticipate that there will be a high talent influx here.

The clinic will start at 8 in the morning under the professional guidance of Delhi Dynamos & Indian Air Force coaches.

These clinics are open to all coaches and students to attend and on participation they will be presented with a completion certificate. Merchandise will be distributed to deserving participants. The best performing players at the clinics and matches will be shortlisted by the scouts.
