“Pick on someone your own size” is an age old saying. And many have found it to be a saying well heeded.
Not Newcastle defender Danny Simpson, however, who decided to engage in a brawl and get himself knocked out.
Simpson reportedly got into a brawl outside a takeaway in Manchester and even beat up another customer. After winning that particular round, Simpson tried to flee by getting into a cab, only to be dragged out of it by another guy.
Simpson received a sound beating and got knocked out by the guy. He lay bleeding for 15 minutes before an ambulance arrived.

England hero Paul Gascoigne is going the George Best way, it seems, with his agent Terry Baker claiming that the star is in need of immediate help as he struggles with depression and alcoholism.
“I heard from Paul this evening (Saturday) and my best assessment would be — and I’ve told him this — he immediately needs to get some help,” said Baker.
“Maybe no one can save him,” added Baker. “His life’s always in danger because he is an alcoholic, as he says.”
Manchester United great Peter Schmeichel, too has added support to Baker’s statement, saying:
“Instead of getting great deals on cars & other luxury goods for members, PFA should commit more time and funds to help the like of Gazza.”

European police have claimed to have uncovered a match-fixing scandal spread over 380 matches across various leagues, including even the Champions League and the World Cup qualifiers!
The Europol claim to have found up to £13.8 million worth of wagers on Germany based matches alone, receiving up to £7 million in profits.
As usual, Asian crime syndicates are believed to be involved. Seems like even the European betting syndicates are too broke in this depression, like their banking counterparts, while the Asians continue to flourish!

Jamie Redknapp, THE son of ‘Arry Redknapp tweeted:
“If you’re going to be as disruptive as Balotelli was then you have to produce the goods on the pitch and I don’t think he did that consistently enough.”
We’re not sure if he is referring to being consistently disruptive or consistently scoring goals. If it was the former, he sure did his job well, didn’t he?
As for the latter, well, making sure that the only assist of his EPL career was a title-winning one, again, refers to a job well done!
