Chelsea fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Thibaut Courtois has confirmed he will not be moving to Paris Saint-Germain next season. The Blues stopper was the subject of a lot of speculation over his future but it looks like he has made up his mind.

Speaking to French outlet Le Parisien he said, “I have never had any contact with PSG. I have played a lot against PSG recently -- twice last season, again this season in a friendly and twice more in the Champions League this year. They are a good club who win their league easily.”

The 23-year-old was asked if there was even a slight chance he might be tempted to leave the club to which he replied, “I have a contract for three years, so I will say 100 percent.” With Antonio Conte arriving at the helm, next season Chelsea will look to once again return to the top of the Premier League.

The Belgian International played against the French champions in the UEFA Champions League when his team lost the tie over the course of both legs. PSG wrapped up Ligue 1 in record time after just 30 matches They defeated minnows Troyes by a scoreline of 9-0 as Zlatan Ibrahimovic bagged a hat-trick.

Courtois hasn’t had the best of seasons with Chelsea. The club are set to miss out on the Champions League next season, after a disastrous first half of the campaign left them in the bottom half of the table.

The Blues have improved significantly under Guus Hiddink and are currently 9th in the table. The Dutch manager has done a wonderful job in reviving their season after Jose Mourinho managed only 4 wins during his tenure, before he was given the sack for the second time.

But Courtois seems to be perfectly happy in London and is not planning for a move away from the club anytime soon. "Me, I like playing in England. Paris is a very good club but I am happy at Chelsea” he said.

Chelsea recently ended Tottenham’s hopes of a first title in over 50 years after a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge. Leicester’s draw at United meant Spurs had to win against Chelsea to ensure they kept the title race alive for one more week.

After a positive first half when the away side took a 2-0 goal advantage, everything collapsed for them as Cahill and Hazard helped their team earn a deserved point at home. The Belgian’s 83rd-minute equalizer was his first home league goal since the one he scored last season to clinch the title for Chelsea.
